Transportation:
Evaluate the risks of hazardous materials being transported
through our town, as well as those stored at fixed locations within
our town. Provide
training as necessary.
Public Relations: Establish an education program and arrange for speakers to address community groups. Follow up on citizen inquiries.
Emergency Preparedness: Review community and industrial emergency response plans for thoroughness and compatibility with each other. Plan and conduct emergency response drills. Provide education for those involved in emergency response.
Scholarship: Oversee an annual scholarship that is awarded to a Town of Tonawanda Senior High School student, pursuing studies in the environmental/natural sciences area
