Text Box: New York Empire Zones

The Empire Zone Program was created by New York State in 1986 to stimulate economic growth in distressed areas.

The program aims to assist areas through financial and economic development incentives to attract new business and help existing businesses flourish by expansion and job creation. Individual localities are thoroughly involved in efforts to revitalize their community and achieve successful growth through zone implementation.
